TRENDING RUMORS
– Defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to leave Arsenal before the end of the current transfer window, reports the Telegraph. It’s reported that Borussia Dortmund are at the front of the queue for his signature amid plans to reinforce their squad at left-back, and it looks as though they are set to turn their attention to the 28-year-old after previously holding interest in Chelsea‘s Renato Veiga. Zinchenko arrived in North London for a fee of £30 million from Manchester City in the summer of 2022.
– PSV Eindhoven have no plans to off-load U.S. men’s national team striker Ricardo Pepi as negotiations over a new contract continue, according to AS. Multiple clubs in the Premier League are reported to have “sounded out” a move for the 22-year-old, but the Eredivisie club believe they could demand more in the summer following his recent positive form, during a spell in which he has scored seven goals in his past 10 matches across all competitions. Pepi is said to be open to staying put, but the United States striker wants to be made an important part of their project.
– There is no interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich from Real Madrid, reports Marca. Despite reports that the 29-year-old was being considered as a potential addition at the Santiago Bernabeu, it’s said that Los Blancos are currently focusing only on Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, 26, and they have no intention of pursuing other options if they fail to land him this month. Kimmich’s representatives are believed to still be in talks with the Bundesliga side over a contract extension, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
– Manchester City remain interested in Atalanta midfielder Éderson, but they are unlikely to be able to land him in the current transfer window, according to Sky Sports. The 25-year-old is believed to be one of the Citizens’ top options as they continue to look for a long-term successor for Rodri, but with La Dea currently competing for the Serie A title, it’s reported they have no plans to part ways with one of their key players in the middle of the season.
– An enquiry for Al Ettifaq midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has been made by Monaco, reports L’Equipe. The Ligue 1 club are reported to be looking to sign an experienced player to reinforce their options this month, and they are hopeful of being able to persuade the 34-year-old to leave the Saudi Pro League. Wijnaldum last played in the top flight of football in France for Paris Saint-Germain, whom he joined from Liverpool on a free transfer in 2021.
