Our first match of the day is under way.
We had a minute of silence before kick-off for Jets icon Barry Vining, who died last week after he had a heart-attack while celebrating Newton’s NSW Cup victory last week.
Niwhai Puru gets us started with the kick-off.

Magic Magoulias returns to Accor
Jets player Billy Magoulias is kind of a club legend in Newtown.
He famously orchestrated the Jets’ victory in the dying seconds of the State Championship, and the NSW Cup, five years ago.
And, fun fact, he plays his 100th game for the Jets today.
