Manly bloodletting continues as Fulton blindsided in ruthless axing

Manly powerbrokers have continued their ruthless club overhaul by sacking Kristie Fulton — the daughter of late Immortal Bob Fulton.

Fulton had been in charge of the club’s elite pathways but has become the latest casualty of new chief executive Tony Mestrov, who sacked legendary coach Des Hasler last week.

A human resources investigation was reportedly a factor in Manly’s decision to sack Fulton according to The Daily Telegraph.

She was reportedly blindsided after being asked to leave the club’s Brookvale headquarters immediately.

Kristie’s brother Scott will reportedly retain his role as head of recruitment while Manly are also set to announce a two-year contract for Zac Fulton who made his debut during the pride jersey saga.

The Fulton family have had a lifelong association with the Manly Sea Eagles and reportedly locked horns with outgoing coach Des Hasler in the past.

Considering the Fulton’s ties with the club and Hasler’s exit, the decision to sack Kristie has left many shocked.

It isn’t the first time Fulton has been sacked by the Sea Eagles after she was shown the door in 2017 by chief executive Tim Cleary.

Cleary himself was axed less than 12 months into his tenure and become one of over a dozen CEO’s to be shown the door since the demise of the Northern Eagles 22 years ago.

Former Broncos coach Anthony Seibold is set to sign a three-year deal with the Sea Eagles after parting ways with Brisbane lass than two years into a five-year contract.
