Australian winger Josh Addo-Carr has called on the Kangaroos to introduce a pre-game Indigenous war cry similar to the haka.
Indigenous trio Addo-Carr, Latrell Mitchell and Jack Wighton are all in Mal Meninga’s 24-man World Cup squad.
All three have played for the Indigenous All Stars who deliver a war cry before their matches.

Australia faces Fiji in their tournament opener in Leeds on Sunday morning (AEDT) and they’re expected to meet New Zealand in the semi-finals.
Addo-Carr is keen on Australia one day following the Kiwis, Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands who all deliver traditional pre-game performances.
“It would be really good for everyone to buy into,” Addo-Carr told AAP.
“The All Blacks do it even though they are not all Maori. Me, Latrell and Jackie would love it.

“There’s things we can do to modify it for some of the boys that don’t know how to dance, there’s a lot we can do so everyone is a part of it.
“We’re all Australian and that’s what this is all about, togetherness. That’s what my culture is about; respect.
“It would be mad to have it, we could get some elders in and some professional dancers to help create something special.”
