Brisbane’s finals hopes have copped a hammer blow in the form of a raft of injuries to key players in Thursday night’s defeat to the Parramatta Eels.
Superstar half Adam Reynolds failed a HIA early in the match, before Kobe Hetherington was similarly concussed in the second stanza.
Tom Flegler was sent to hospital with breathing difficulties after a knock to the throat, while Brenko Lee made it four big injuries after he was forced off the field with a hamstring complaint.

BRISBANE INJURY HELL
In his 250th NRL game, veteran half Adam Reynolds was hit in the head by the leg of Te Maire Martin as the duo both attempted to tackle Eels fullback Trent Gutherson.
Having managed just 10 minutes before the incident, Reynolds trudged up the tunnel only to fail his concussion test.
Things got worse in the 25th minute when Tom Flegler was forced from the field – and shortly thereafter sent to hospital – after copping raised forearm to the throat when trying to tackle Reagan Campbell-Gillard. Flegler was seen struggling to breathe.
Kobe Hetherington managed to make it just five minutes into the second half before leaving the field for a HIA after slamming his head into the turf when trying to tackle Oregon Kaufusi. Clearly dazed, he subsequently failed his HIA.
Then the nightmare worsened further when Brenko Lee was taken from the field with an apparent hamstring injury, missing the remainder of the game as he sat on the bench with ice around the leg.
All four players appear in doubt for next Saturday’s clash with the Dragons, as the Broncos’ face the damning prospect of missing the finals.
