Good morning, footy fans!

Good morning everyone, and welcome to our rolling coverage of the third day of the 2022 AFL trade period.

Day two was a busy one, with three more players finding new homes, while overshadowing the news by nightfall was Essendon CEO resigning after just one day.

Fremantle wingman Blake Acres joined Carlton, Brisbane Lions forward Daniel McStay crossed to Collingwood, and former Carlton defender Liam Jones headed back to his old home the Western Bulldogs.

Retired Essendon fan-favourite Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti is contemplating a comeback – Essendon legend Matthew Lloyd dropping that bombshell early in the day, with Fremantle leading the race to sign him.

Meanwhile, a deal involving Fremantle duo Griffin Logue and Darcy Tucker going to North Melbourne could unlock the stalled Luke Jackson and Brodie Grundy deals, as revealed by Michael Gleeson.

They’ll be a lot to play out today, with the question on everybody’s lips: which players will end the day in different colours?

Stay tuned to this blog throughout the day to find out and leave a comment on your thoughts at any time.

It’s looking like a big day ahead of you, folks.
