Former NRL player Mark McLinden has been revealed as the pitch invader from the grand final on Sunday night.
McLinden ran onto the playing field in the second half wearing football boots and managed to rip off the Telstra advertising from a pad on one of the goalposts.
The 43-year-old then tried to do the same to the other pad but security arrived and he managed to evade them before being tackled around the 20-metre line.

McLinden, who made 165 appearances for the Canberra Raiders between 1998 and 2004, was fined $5000 and banned from games – according to the SMH.
“A 43-year-old man from Mullumbimby was arrested after he allegedly entered the southern end of the playing field and dragged one of the pads from a goalpost,” a police statement said.
“He was removed from the field by security before being arrested by police; he has been issued with an infringement notice for enter competition playing field.”
